Profilez n grammar

I'm in my early thirties. I didn't get my first cell phone until I graduated from college, and didn't start texting people until my late twenties. Outside of common abbreviations like LOL or TTYL, it was done in full sentences with correct punctuation. Maybe that makes me odd, but I can't help it. So as a lady that uses uses online dating sites as a way to find a future mate, I have to take deep breathes while reading most profiles. Because I'm seeking men my age or older, it always surprised me when I see large amounts of "text speak" or crazy spellings in a man's profile. For example, this gentleman checked out my profile on afroromance.com and has this as a description of what he's looking for in a future partner:

A woman who iz down to earth, not what most accuse men to be..*playerz n full of gamez*.. Haha Forreal tho.. I like fun, energetic, intellectual, n sarcastic women.. It's a bonus if she iz athletic, but not necessary.. But if she can sit around on sundayz and be just as hype when the eaglea are playing, I'm kool... Otger than that, just *kool female* works for me...

When did the letter S go out of style? Is it too much to type out the entire word 'and'? Or use spellcheck?
